At Impofu Ranching, we do more than breed cattle – we protect heritage, support conservation, and sustain local livelihoods.
Proudly Eswatini
Rooted in the ancient grazing lands of Eswatini, our herds are raised without shortcuts. No feedlots. No artificial enhancement. Just veld grazing, natural selection, and a commitment to genetic integrity.
Our Values
Our Boran and Nguni cattle have evolved over millennia to thrive in Africa’s toughest terrains. This makes them not only cost-effective and hardy, but ecologically harmonious – co-existing with wildlife while occupying the same ecological niche as buffalo.
“A Legacy Worth Protecting”
In the 1970s, the Kingdom faced a crisis – its pure Swati Nguni cattle were vanishing. In response, a nation-wide effort began to recover and protect this indigenous breed. Impofu Ranching proudly carries this legacy forward by breeding authentic Nguni alongside robust East African Boran.
Why It Matters
Indigenous cattle are less harmful to natural habitats
They contribute to biodiversity and fill essential ecological roles
Cattle support tick control and wildlife health
Cattle ensure financial resilience when tourism faces downturns
